Just imagine freeing your life of accounts and tax return stress and spending more time in your zone of genius, having more time to focus on the bits you enjoy.
Being your own boss gives you the flexibility and freedom you’ve been craving. And for all the hard graft and sleepless nights, the rewards can be amazing. But sometimes, it would be really nice to be able to lean on someone and ask them:
“Does this look right to you? Can I claim for this? What would you do here?”
Sometimes, it would be really nice to have someone gently guide you through the tax return process, teach you how to do your accounts and self assessment properly (or hey, even do it all for you).
Sound familiar? Then you’re in the right place.
Hi. I’m Karen
I’m a spreadsheet whizz, a tax coach, a Chartered Accountant and a Mum-to-4. But my greatest claim to credibility with you (I believe) is that I’ve grown The Winchester Bookkeeping Company from scratch. And I don’t believe accounts and self-assessment need to be scary. I just think you need someone championing you from the sidelines in a jargon-free way.
Perhaps you’ve found your way here because you want to become accounts-confident, to overcome your fear of HMRC and numbers. Or maybe you’re searching for someone to do chunks (or all) of the money, tax and record-keeping bit for you.
Either way, I can help you because it’s my zone of genius. It’s the part of running a business I enjoy.
Where are you at?
Creating a business
You’re getting your ‘big idea’ off the ground, You’re full of excitement. But you’re struggling to understand what’s expected of you on the tax, accounting and record-keeping front. Come on in.
Running a business
You’re a fully-fledged business owner with real live paying clients. But one month it’s feast, the next month it’s famine. You don’t have a handle on what needs to be done accounts wise and tax wise and the mountain of paperwork is suffocating. Yep, that’s me.
Growing a business
The complexity of your business has changed but you’re still muddling through with the same old processes and procedures. Maybe you’re nearing the VAT registration threshold, thinking about taking on an employee or two or wondering if now is the time to set up as a Limited Company. I’d like some support from the sidelines.
